Get verified: official channels
One brand record that lists your real websites, X handles and email addresses, so anyone who checks them on Proof Rail sees they are yours.
Brands, companies and the agencies that work for them.
- Ask for your record: use the request form at proofrail.me/#claim and list the channels you want verified. Developers can create it through the API instead.
- Prove your website and email domain: add a DNS TXT record named _rail-proof-challenge.yourdomain.com with the one-time code you are given.
- Prove your X handle: post the one-time code publicly from that handle and send the post link. A Proof Rail reviewer checks the post.
- Prove a partnership or press address, if you want one listed: click the one-time link Proof Rail sends to that inbox within 48 hours.
- Add your logo, if you want: upload it in your dashboard. Proof Rail reviews it before it appears anywhere.
- Share your record. Anyone who checks a listed channel on proofrail.me/check now sees it is yours.
- DNS TXT record
- A short text entry you add in your domain's settings, where you manage your website address. It proves you control the domain.
- Declared
- A channel you listed that Proof Rail did not check, such as other social accounts. It is shown as declared, never as verified.

- How long it takes: the DNS and email checks run when you complete them. The X post is reviewed by a person; standard reviews aim to finish one business day after Proof Rail has everything it needs.
- Lookalike websites of your verified domains show "Not verified" on /check, with a pointer to your real website.
- Your record covers only the channels it lists. At least one channel must be proven, not only declared.
- A partnership address can be listed only when its email domain is already verified on your record.
- Official channels are live records. For costs, see the pricing page.
